DBDBD 2025 brings together researchers and practitioners to present and discuss recent advances in databases and database-related areas. Submissions will be presented as posters, and a selection will be invited for oral presentations. We invite submissions (1-page abstracts) on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Data storage, indexing, and management: advanced methods for structuring, organizing, and maintaining large and heterogeneous data collections.
- Database theory and models: formal foundations of data models, query languages, and semantic representations.
- Performance and scalability: algorithms, architectures, and techniques for optimizing database systems under increasing workloads.
- Data integration and quality: methodologies for cleaning, reconciling, and enhancing data across diverse sources and ontologies.
- Knowledge discovery and learning: approaches to data mining, machine learning, and information retrieval in structured and unstructured settings.
- Security, privacy, and personalization: mechanisms for safeguarding data while enabling controlled access and adaptive user experiences.
- Big data and data science: principles, platforms, and applications for large-scale data analysis and predictive modeling.
- Interdisciplinary intersections: interactions between databases and fields such as artificial intelligence, large language models, distributed systems, and related domains.
Based on the submissions, the workshop will be organized into sessions that highlight particular themes. DBDBD has a tradition of favouring presentations by junior researchers, making it an excellent opportunity to share ongoing work and receive feedback from the community.
Important Dates
- Submission deadline: 12 November 2025 AoE
- Notification of acceptance: 17 November 2025.
- Registration deadline: TBD.
- DBDBD: 12 December 2025.
Submission Guidelines
We solicit single-page abstracts of either published work or research in progress. Each submission should contain:
- the title of the presentation;
- the name and affiliation of the prospective speaker;
- an abstract of the presentation;
- reference(s) to papers covered by the proposed presentation.
The format is a one-page PDF document (excluding references), prepared according to the provided template (Overleaf / zip), and should be submitted via email to dbdbd2025@googlegroups.com
There are no printed proceedings. Accepted abstracts will be published on the DBDBD 2025 website and presented at the workshop.
